The Main Library of the Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin is situated at the Powstańców Wielkopolskich street in the building of the former students' club "Trans". The building was renovated and adapted  for library.

There is  round-the-clock monitoring and security protection of all public spaces in the library.

The PUM Library provides an excellent collection from the fields of medicine, dentristry, analysis, biotechnology, dietetics, physiotherapy, nursing, obstetrics, medical rescue, public health and so on. The library collection consist of more than 313,000 volumes of books and journals in print. The library has a wide and increasing  range of resources including over 222,000 e-books, about 34,000 full-text journals and approximately 43 databases covering medicine and allied sciences, mostly in Polish and/or in English. Qualified staff are on hand to help users make the most of the collection, resources, and facilities.

The library offers extensive operating hours including evenings and Saturdays. Library space to work and study includes both individual and group study rooms with free wi-fi access and PCs available for library users.

The library is architecturally and technologically adapted to serve people with disabilities.
